Studio Policies-General Information

  • Wear modest clothing that allows you to move easily. Items such as T-shirts or tank tops, workout pants or shorts, and leggings are all appropriate. Bare feet are essential unless there is a medical reason why you need to wear shoes.

  • Please refrain from chewing gum, wearing excessive essential oils or perfume.

  • Since the practice is physical, it is recommended that meals should be consumed at least 2 hours prior to class; snacks at least 1 hour.

  • No food or open containers are allowed in the main practice studio.  You may bring a water bottle with a secure screw-on cap.

  • We encourage students to bring their own yoga mats; however, loaner mats are available at no charge. All other props will be provided (blocks, straps, bolsters, chairs, etc.)

  • A restroom is available that may be used as a changing space.

  • Please silence mobile devices upon arriving.

  • Arrive a few minutes prior to the start of class to allow plenty of time to settle in.

  • New Students are required to sign a waiver prior to participating in their first class, arrive a few minutes early.

  • If you arrive late for a yoga class, please wait outside for a minimum of 5 minutes while the instructor is centering the students, the door will be locked. You may join class after centering is complete.

  • Every student is required to sign in.

  • Remove shoes prior to entering the studio classroom and place them in the cubbies.

  • At the close of the class, please replace all props to the place and presentation in which you found them.

  • If students are disruptive, disrespectful, conversing privately in a disruptive manner or attempting to teach each other above the instruction, the instructor reserves the right to respectfully ask them to discontinue for the safety and consideration of the rest of the students in class.

  • You are required to remain throughout the entire practice. If you must leave early, please inform the teacher in advance, place your mat near the door and leave quietly before everyone gets into the final relaxation pose.  We always encourage you to stay for the final relaxation pose…it’s the BEST PART!

  • Go at your own pace. Be gentle and respectful towards your body, never moving to the point of pain. There is no timeline, and nothing to prove-yoga is a life long journey. No need to compare yourself with anyone.

Weight Loss or Diet Conversations

Please refrain from engaging in these types of conversations.  Lovingkindness Reiki & Yoga is a fun, supportive community where you can feel free to do you.
